ABOUT US / FAQS

HEXXO is a free iPhone app for finding real places to make work. Photographers and creators post spots, sorted by color, with the hex code taken from the photo. You see the picture, the color, and who found it. Then you go there.

A spot goes up because someone stood there and decided it was worth sharing. The person who found it first stays credited. Instagram is where those places get shared. The app is where you open the location. You can look around first. An account is required to see the details and get directions.

HEXXO was started by LaSalle Smith, a Chicago photographer. Color is a location. He designed the app, built it, and shipped it on his own. The map grows because the people using it keep adding places.

HOW DOES HEXXO WORK?

Explore a city by color. Every photo was uploaded by a real creator and pinned to the place it was shot. Tap a photo to see where it was taken and get directions from the app.

HOW DO I UPLOAD A PHOTO?

Tap upload, pick a photo from your camera roll, and HEXXO reads the color and pins it to your location. Add a spot name so other creators can find it. Every upload adds to the map.

WHAT CITIES IS HEXXO IN?

Live in Chicago, New York, Miami, Los Angeles, and Dallas, with new cities added as the community grows. Spots from other places show up as people post them.

WHAT COLORS ARE AVAILABLE?

The families on the map include red, orange, yellow, green, and the rest of the palette in the app. More get used as people post them.

IS HEXXO FREE?

Yes. Free to download. Exploration, uploading, and community discovery are available to everyone.

WHERE DO I DOWNLOAD IT?

On the App Store for iPhone. Search HEXXO. Click in the menu above, or download it here.
